FAQ
Questions guests ask
Do I need a licensed tour company in Bhutan?
Yes. Visitors travel with a licensed Bhutan tour company and a planned trip. The company does your visa, permits and daily government fee. We do all of this for you.
How much does a Bhutan trip cost?
It depends on the season, your hotels, your group size and your route. Government fees are set by the Department of Tourism and can change. Send us your dates and we will send you a clear written price.
When is the best time to visit Bhutan?
Autumn (October to November) and spring (March to May) have clear skies and many festivals. Winter is sunny and quiet in the low valleys. The rainy months are very green and have few visitors.
Do I need to be very fit?
Culture trips have easy walking. The walk up to Tiger's Nest is the hardest part, about four to five hours up and down. Treks can be easy or hard. We will pick a route that fits you.
How do I check festival dates?
Bhutan festivals follow the moon calendar, so the dates change every year. We check the official dates for you before we fix your plan.
How do payment and cancellation work?
We send payment dates and cancellation rules in writing with your price, as Bhutan rules require. You pay nothing before you have read them.
Can you plan a fully private trip?
Yes. Most of our guests travel on a private plan made for them. We plan honeymoons, photo trips, family holidays and long stays.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Please travel with insurance that covers medical care, mountain activities and trip cancellation.
