Sustainable tourism
Travel With Purpose
Bhutan chose careful, small scale travel many years ago. We follow that same path with every trip.
Why this matters
A country that counts more than visitors
Bhutan keeps tourism small and useful. Our law also protects a large part of the country as forest. Visitors travel with licensed companies, and the daily government fee helps health, schools and nature.
We live in Punakha. Everything tourism brings, good or bad, comes to our own valley. That is why we work with care.

Our promises
Six things we do on every trip
These are real habits, not big words. We do not share numbers we cannot prove.
Village based travel
We take you to villages, farmhouses and small local businesses, so the money reaches families directly.
Local guides and drivers
Every guide and driver with us is Bhutanese and licensed. We pay fairly and work with them all year.
We buy local
Family kitchens, weavers, craft makers and small hotels are our first choice, not a quick photo stop.
Care for nature
We carry out all our waste on treks, use little plastic, and respect protected valleys and wildlife seasons.
Care for culture
We visit temples in quiet hours, join festivals as guests, and tell you the photo rules before you need them.
Small and gentle trips
Small private groups, less driving, longer stays in fewer valleys, and quieter months when they suit you.
Real examples
Three trips, three simple choices
01
Phobjikha in crane season
We keep lights low in the evening and groups small. The village nature centre guides our wetland visits, not our own timetable.
02
Lunch in a Punakha farmhouse
Red rice, ema datshi and fresh greens, cooked in the same house that grew them. Your money stays in the village.
03
An east Bhutan route
Longer roads and fewer visitors. In weaving villages, your visit still makes a big difference to a family.

Travel tips
How to travel well in Bhutan
Bhutan asks only for kindness. Dress simply in temples. Ask before you take someone's photo. Be patient on mountain roads. Talk to people, not only look at buildings.
We tell you all of this early, so you always feel comfortable.
Travel with purpose
Plan a trip that helps Bhutan
Tell us what matters to you. We will add village stays, quiet valleys and gentle days to your plan.
